Introduction
This project is aimed at providing eBanking and ePayment facilities in communities such that cash withdrawals, cash deposit, cheque deposit and bills payment can be made in a secured, fully monitored and fully manned location. The overall goal of the project is to provide a location where people in the various communities can feel safe to withdrawal or deposit money/cheque without the threat of being robbed, having their pin number and card stolen while at the ATM machine, and at the same time, providing a secure location for the bank to locate ATM machines.
Facility Design requires a total approach to the overall facility and every detail, it is not only the ATM machine itself, but more over, the design of the entire facility. This means that all aspects pertaining to and affecting any operational and/or security matters must be addressed; from control and monitoring technologies utilized within the facility to the operational procedures for the operation, maintenance, and, in the case of criminal activities, emergency response procedures.
Our main philosophy behind all our designs is that we design from an operational point of view, taking into consideration the operators, staff and users of the facility. It is only from understanding the operation of such a facility, that an applicable and appropriate system can be designed and implemented.
Along with the design of system technologies, operational and training programmed must also be developed and trained to the facility staff to ensure that staff are equipped with the knowledge and ability to handle various situations that can arise in such a facility.
By combining state-of-the-art technology with proper architectural design and adequate staff training and operational procedures, the overall security of the facility can be maintained.
